Alumni Recruitment Krewe
UNO Alumni living outside of the New Orleans area can support your alma mater by joining the Alumni Recruitment Krewe. Support the work of our Admissions team by attending college fairs, writing letters and emails to potential students, and being a resource in your area. The Alumni Recruitment Krewe is seeking alumni volunteers in Philadelphia; New York City; Washington, DC; Houston; Atlanta; and Chicago.
Alumni Association Board Committee Members
UNO Alumni are invited to join one of the four standing committees of the UNO Alumni Association Board of Directors. The Student Success Committee plans various initiatives such as resume review and professional dining etiquette luncheon as well partners with Enrollment Management and Student Affairs on student success programs. The Membership Committee serves as the voice of alumni by reviewing membership benefits, planning special interest group functions, and recruiting new members. The Programs Committee plans the Association's large events such as Crawfish Mambo, Homecoming, and the annual soiree. The Communications Committee serves as the hub of the Association's communication planning and strategy.
Crawfish Mambo: Cook-Off & Music Festival on the Lake - May 2016
Crawfish Mambo is the Alumni Association's largest event and fundraiser of the year. Volunteers are needed to staff ticket booths, beer trucks, and other various activities during the eight hour event.

Dine Like A Professional Etiquette Luncheon

Alumni Association Partnerships with Enrollment Management & Student Affairs
Explore UNO- February2016
The Office of Enrollment Services invites high school and transfer students to campus to explore opportunities through a college browse, welcome session, and breakout sessions covering: Financial Aid, Campus Life, and the Orientation and Enrollment process for admitted students. Alumni welcome students as they arrive and point them in the direction of their intended college’s table and share their experiences if they graduated from that academic college.
SUCbAUF- April 2016, 11am-3pm
Celebrate nearly 30 years of one of the University of New Orleans’ favorite campus traditions: the 27th Annual SUCbAUF (Students Unwinding on Crawfish and Unprecedented Fun) Crawfish Festival! The Student Activities Council (SAC) will be hosting the boil on the HPC Intramural Fields. While all are welcome to attend this event, only students and volunteers are able to participate in activities for free. A variety of volunteers are necessary for the success of this major campus event:
Get to Know UNO- November 2015
Get to Know UNO is a fall preview day for prospective students and their families. Students are invited to campus on a Saturday morning to learn more about UNO, majors, and activities. Alumni can volunteer to share their stories and help students navigate the day.
Into the Halls - January & August
Faculty, staff and alumni are paired with current UNO student leaders to walk around Pontchartrain Hall speaking with the residents about how their semester is going, what they think about living on campus, etc. This is a great meet-and-mingle opportunity for alumni (especially those that may have lived on campus) to share stories and connect with current students.
High School Counselor Luncheon- September
High school guidance counselors are invited to campus for a casual social showcasing the University of New Orleans campus. Alumni are invited to network with the group as well as share their positive experiences of UNO.
Move In Day- August 13, 2015
Move in day can be a fun and stressful time for new students and their families. Join UNO faculty, staff, administrators, and alumni as we take a little stress away by helping these students get settled into their new home. Alumni are invited to help move students into their new residence hall rooms. Some heavy lifting is required.
