For more than 25 years, UNO's Jazz at the Sandbar performances have impressed jazz aficionados, entertained the community and provided a uniquely New Orleans educational experience for the UNO student ensembles paired on the bandstand with renowned jazz musicians. Jazz at the Sandbar has reunited students, faculty and community members with a long-standing Jazz tradition. Jazz at the Sandbar is presented by the UNO Jazz Studies Program with support from the UNO Student Government Association, WWNO Public Radio, Nate & Priscilla Gordon, The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation, the UNO Alumni Association and the New Orleans Jazz Celebration.
