The 2018 speaker will be Mark F. FernandezProfessor Fernandez is a University of New Orleans alumnus with both a BA and an MA in History.
He has written exten
sively about the history of early American law. His current research is on Woody Guthrie and Mark lecture will be 
 “’Ruination Day’ in History and Music: Abraham Lincoln, the Titanic, Black Sunday, Woody Guthrie, and Gillian Welch.”
